Clinical Advisory Committee

The clinical advisory committee’s role is to provide advice and knowledge/ support to WMUK. The Clinical Advisory Board ensures WMUK can provide the most up-to-date information and support wherever people are in the UK. They review all our information ensuring it is accurate and up to date, help with questions raised through our support channels and provide talks as part of our series of webinars.

Dr Shirley D’Sa

Dr D’Sa is a founder trustee of WMUK, a Consultant Haematologist, & runs the largest WM clinic in the UK at University College London Hospitals (UCLH).

Dr Helen McCarthy

Dr Helen McCarthy is Consultant Haematologist at Royal Bournemouth Hospital, & Waldenstrom macroglobulinaemia researcher.

Prof Guy Pratt

Professor Guy Pratt is a Consultant Haematologist with clinical and research experience in multiple myeloma and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, and a Professor of Haematology at the University of Birmingham.

Dr Aisling Carr

Dr. Aisling Carr is a Consultant Neurologist at the Centre for Neuromuscular Diseases, National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Prof Michael Lunn

Professor Michael Lunn is a renowned neurologist and academic with extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders, and sits on WMUK's Clinical Advisory Board.

Dr Kirsty Cuthill

Dr. Kirsty Cuthill is a Consultant Haematologist at King’s College Hospital, specializing in plasma cell disorders, specialising in multiple myeloma, Waldenström's Macroglobulinaemia, chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL).

Dr Charlampia Kyriakou

Dr. Charlampia Kyriakou is a Consultant Haematologist MD, PhD at UCLH, and Hon. Senior Lecturer University College London, with a focus on Myeloma, Paraproteinemias, and Multiple Sclerosis.

Dr Rebecca Auer

Dr. Rebecca Auer MRCP FRCPath PhD is a Consultant Haemato-oncology with extensive experience in haematology, and a focus on clinical and research activities related to haematological malignancies.

Dr Jaimal Kothari

Dr. Jaimal Kothari is a Consultant Haematologist at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust and serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Haematology. He specializes in myeloma, lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), and general haematology.
