Bringing people with WM together for support

A huge thank you to everyone who has applied to be a volunteer Buddy for our new programme. Due to the huge number of application, we have closed this for the time being. Applications will open again in the future, so if you have missed out this time, then there will be other opportunities. If you have already applied, you will be hearing from us very soon.

Sometimes speaking to others who have similar WM experiences can be a helpful way to better understand your diagnosis, get advice from someone who has been through the same thing, or simply help you feel less alone.

The WMUK Buddy Service is designed to pair up people seeking this sort of support with those who are open to sharing their experiences.

This is a new service, and right now we’re looking for volunteers to become a ‘Buddy’. As a Buddy, you’ll provide peer support to others living with WM by sharing your personal experiences, being a listening ear, and signposting back to the WMUK clinical support team when needed.
