WMUK Patient Financial Assistance Fund

WMUK Winter Fuel Fund

If you’re struggling with heating bills this winter, WMUK is here to help.

We’ve launched the Winter Fuel Fund, to help those of you unable to meet heating bills and ensure you can keep living well with WM

One of our governing objects is to provide financial support to help people live well with WM. We believe offering a grant to help keep houses warm, when many in the community are struggling, is the right thing to do.

Who is the fund for?

The Winter Fuel Fund is for people with WM or LPL who did not receive the government’s Winter Fuel Fund this winter (2024/25) and are struggling to pay their heating bills. The fund entitles each successful applicant to a one-off payment of £200 to specifically help towards their heating bills.

To qualify for the grant you must:

  • Have a confirmed diagnosis of Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinaemia (WM) or lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma (LPL)
  • Be born on or before the 22 September 1958
    • Be able to provide a scanned or photographed copy of valid ID clearly showing your name and date of birth
    • Be currently living in the UK
  • Have not received the Winter Fuel Payment this winter (2024/2025)

How do I apply?

Applying is easy – just click the button below and fill in the required fields. You’ll need to scan or photograph valid ID (like a driver’s licence, passport or bus pass) to upload as part of the application. The ID will need to clearly show your name and date of birth.

Funds are limited and we’ll be awarding the grants on a first come, first served basis. We rely on the human nature and people doing the right thing by applying only if there is genuine need. The act of admitting and reaching out for help takes strength in itself.

If you are unable to apply online, please contact info@wmuk.org.uk and the team will be able to help you. Due to the expected high demand for the grant, we are not accepting postal applications.

You can find the full Terms and Conditions for the grant here.
